Suki (shorthair)

Updated info: 23/9/24 Suki & Willa were adopted together by their foster Mom Mags who had been taking care of them like royalty for the last few months. I believe those girls got incredibly lucky with their family. Now they can call their temp house their forever home 🧡.

On December 20th 2023 we found a bucket with newborn babies in a trash dumping site. Inside there were 7 babies. 2 were older (see Nala and Simba’s post) and the other 5 have just opened their eyes and were starved and cold to the touch. We rushed to the clinic to discover they were cover in tick larva and fleas, unfortunately we don’t know for how long they were outside in the cold and 1 was helped to cross the rainbow bridge as he was having a neurological seizure due to lack of food intake. The rest of the babies were a touch and go. After removing all blood sucking parasites and started bottle feeding we made it home and I started a bottle schedule every 2 hours. Happy to say all 4 remaining siblings survived and now they are available for adoption. These kittens are wonderful and they’ve been through a lot so we are looking for responsible and committed loving adopters for them. We gave them all the love and best care so they will make amazing additions to just any family or person who’s looking for a sweet companion.

About my amazing Suki girl:

She’s my little girl so I can’t express enough how special this sweet purring machine is to me. When I rescue them and started bottle-feeding she was the smallest and the one who cling to me the most. She was so quiet and gentle, always up for a snuggle on my lap and she was so small that I use to put her in the palm of my hand and filled those cheeks with kisses. She LOVED that! Suki was the first one to purr (from her siblings) and she will forever hold a special place in my heart.

Today Suki developed a super spunky and fun personality. She LOVESSS playing and she’s the “life of the party”. She’s very toy motivated, loves her scratch poles and the only thing better than doing that for her is to be with her sisters. It would be amazing if she could be adopted with one of her siblings so….

For now we will give priority to adopters who are willing to adopt Suki and Willa together. If by any chance this later on changes, there has to be another friendly cat living at the adopters home.

If there’s an outdoor space in the house the top of the fence in the garden must be secured for the cat not to jump outside to the streets. And if there are balconies there should be safety nets.

Our return to the Netherlands is MAY 3rd and the kittens can be picked up from our home in Heemstede.

For questions please don’t hesitate to contact us by sending us an adoption form and we’ll get back to you asap. You can find this in the “get involved” section of our site.
