And so I’m back in Spain…

For those who don’t know, Spain is one of the European countries were killing shelters are allowed and even if Madrid is a province were these “perreras” were banned, there’s a lot of people that still rather poison kittens or throw them in trash bags to the streets to reduce the population instead of looking for a more humane solution.

It breaks our hearts to hear sad stories from so many women asking for desperate help and for us to rescue all these kittens in serious need due to abandonment or cruelty;BUT at the same time it also wakes us up and make us go the extra mile, take the next flight and step up for what we believe in and this is educating people and rescuing.

My last rescue in Madrid was just 14 days ago and here I am again.

So let me now introduce you to the 4 cute babies I’m flew and now foster in The Netherlands named: North, South, East & West. These kittens are the result of neglect, taken from an industrial area in the outskirts north of Madrid (SP) where a lot of mamma cats give birth constantly. They are super feral, living in a colony and not used to human interaction but I’m sure that with a good nutrition and some TLC they’ll be soon ready to start looking for their forever home. For those who don’t know, Spain is one of the European countries were killing shelters are allowed and even if Madrid is a province were these “perreras” were banned, there’s a lot of people that still rather poison kittens or throw them in trash bags to the streets to reduce the population instead of looking for a more humane solution.

I always tell the neighbors when I meet them during my rescues: fostering save life’s!!! Don’t hesitate, take them into your homes and out of the streets, ask for help and adoptions and if you need us we are always a phone call away! : )
